Bibigo Kimchi is a brand belonging to CJ Foods Group, and has been the best-selling kimchi in Vietnam for many years. To help consumers understand why they can trust the product, CJ Foods and Right Media made a corporate film showcasing the Bibigo kimchi production process from farm to table: "From Bao Loc to the Vietnamese Dinner Table | Bibigo Kimchi Production Process"The film showcases the scale and technology of the factory and tells the story of CJ Foods working alongside Vietnamese farmers.

This video showcases the production process of Bibigo Kimchi, produced by Right Media.

Scale One day of filming in the Bao Loc (Lam Dong) growing region, combined with footage already filmed for the CJ Foods Vietnam corporate film project.

Customer requirements: publicly disclose international standard processes, and promote Vietnamese agricultural products.

CJ Foods assigned the project to Right Media with specific requirements:

  • Public disclosure of the CJ Global Quality Management System (CJ Global QMS): The film must show that control begins in the fields, especially regarding the origin of the raw materials. The Chinese cabbage is selected by variety, grown in specific regions, and graded by size according to CJ Foods' procurement standards; pesticide residues, heavy metals, and microorganisms are controlled according to Ministry of Health standards right from the cultivation stage.
  • This shows CJ Foods working together with Vietnamese farmers: The video shouldn't be a dry, factory-themed film. Viewers need to see people: CJ Foods providing technical guidance and guaranteeing product purchase, so that farmers can produce with peace of mind without worrying about fluctuating market prices.
  • Bringing manufacturing technology to life: The processing procedure, which meets food safety and hygiene standards, must clearly demonstrate: soaking and washing with the correct water-salt ratio, mixing the kimchi sauce, and then fermenting according to a proprietary process to create the LM119 starter culture rich in natural probiotics, with a 100% guarantee of no preservatives.
  • Clarifying the packaging process: The automated packaging line meets HACCP and BRC standards, along with vacuum technology. The voiceover clearly states that Bibigo Kimchi uses technology to remove gas produced during the fermentation process, ensuring the product retains its crispness and freshness when it reaches consumers.

Right Media's solution: telling stories from the field to the table.

There is a lot of technical data and the industrial processes are complex, so Right Media chose to tell it as an easy-to-follow story so that viewers can understand and believe:

"From Bao Loc to the Vietnamese dinner table"

The story follows a cabbage, from its growth in the field to its processing: a cool, refreshing farm – a farmer's smile – a smart factory – a delicious dish on the dinner table. At the end of the film, viewers receive the message: "At Bibigo, your health and safety are always our top priority.".

Nature and technology in one film.

The film places two completely different spaces side by side:

  • Highland farm setting: The drone footage reveals fields of Chinese cabbage in Bao Loc under the early morning sun. Close-up shots of dew drops on the leaves show viewers the fresh, crisp, and clean produce.
  • Kizuna smart factory setting: The film shifts to compact shots under the white light of the factory. The camera follows the automated assembly line, close-up of each stage of soaking, washing, mixing sauces, and packaging, showing a clean factory that operates according to standards.

The farmer's voice and realistic sounds.

The video includes an interview with a local farmer. He says that since working with CJ Foods, local farmers can "produce with peace of mind, no longer worried about depending on market prices", thanks to technical guidance on growing cabbage, and they no longer plant according to the market, "sometimes a lot, sometimes a little," as before. The sound is meticulously crafted, from the gentle rustling of the countryside and the quiet operation of machinery to the warm voiceover. The film's color is adjusted to be vibrant and suitable for the vegetables and dishes.

Right Media's workflow in the Kimchi Bibigo project.

CJ Foods is a multinational corporation with its own vetting process. Right Media completed this project in 5 steps:

Step 1: Receive the brief and survey two locations.

The film required two locations: the cabbage growing area in Bao Loc (Lam Dong) and CJ Foods' smart factory in the Kizuna Industrial Park. For the factory part, Right Media already had footage from their previous CJ Foods Vietnam corporate film project, so this trip focused on the growing area in Bao Loc.

Step 2: Write the script and storyboard.

The team meticulously planned every second of the 2-minute 15-second video. The script clearly allocated time for the farm introduction, the farmer interview, the factory process, and the closing brand message of Kimchi Bibigo.

Step 3: Record

  • At the farm: During a one-day trip to Bao Loc, the film crew shot scenes of farmers harvesting Chinese cabbage and used a drone to capture panoramic views of the highland region.
  • At the Kizuna plant: The footage of the closed-loop production line was taken from a source filmed for the CJ Foods corporate video. When filming inside the factory, the crew fully complied with food safety and hygiene regulations (wearing protective clothing, sterilization) and did not slow down the production line.

Step 4: Post-production

  • Film editing and background music: The first part has a lively, cheerful rhythm. The latter part shifts to a more modern, solid rhythm.
  • Color Grading: Highlighting the vibrant green of the cabbage and the distinctive red color of the sauce in Kimchi Bibigo.
  • Motion Graphics: Quality standards (CJ Global QMS, HACCP, BRC) and information about the probiotic-rich LM119 starter culture are displayed directly on the screen for easy reference.

Step 5: Acceptance and handover of the finished product.

The final version was reviewed by CJ Foods' management, then exported as a 4K UHD file for use on multiple channels (YouTube, Facebook, points of sale, etc.).

The close-up shots were carefully filmed to preserve every detail.

The result: further proof of quality for the best-selling kimchi line.

After the project, CJ Foods has a video that can be used for both marketing and sales. According to Right Media, the film brought the brand the following benefits:

  • This provides further grounds for consumer trust: The film addresses common customer concerns about food safety. The entire process, from the Bao Loc farm to the Kizuna smart factory, is publicly displayed on screen, helping Kimchi Bibigo hold its position as the best-selling kimchi brand in Vietnam.
  • A video that can be used in many places: The video features 4K resolution, vibrant colors, and clear sound. CJ Foods can use the film on digital channels (YouTube, Facebook, TikTok), screen it at points of sale (supermarkets/hypermarkets), and at international trade events.
  • Enhancing the value of Vietnamese agricultural products: The human element shows a global corporation working alongside farmers in Lam Dong province, and highlights the value of local agricultural products.
  • Experience for Right Media: This project follows the CJ Foods Vietnam corporate film, and once again the team worked through the multi-level approval process of a multinational corporation.

Conclusion

The production process film for Kimchi Bibigo shows viewers what goes on behind the kimchi jar: the Bao Loc cabbage fields, quality control, fermentation, and the 100% preservative-free product. CJ Foods has added another video to tell Vietnamese families about its commitment to "consumer health first."
