Factory and product photography project: Golden
Golden manufactures metal components for the fashion industry: eyelets, buckles, chains, and clasps. During their brand refresh, Golden needed a new set of photos for their company profile and publications. Right Media divided the project into two locations: factory photos were taken at Golden, while product photos were taken at Right Media Studio.

Factory photography: showing how components are made.
Golden's clients are fashion brands. Before placing an order, they want to know where the buckles or clasps are made, what machines are used, and who does the quality control. The factory photography project, consisting of 30 photos, answers these questions in turn:

The design room, where component prototypes are created on a computer.
- An aerial view of the factory.
- Stamping workshop, CNC machining area, and machine operators.
- The engineer designs the keychain pattern on the computer.
- The workers examine each component through a magnifying glass.
- A group photo of employees in front of the company headquarters.

50 packshot photos and 15 concept photos
Metal components are difficult to photograph because of their reflective surfaces. With the wrong lighting, the gold-plated ring will only appear as a bright or dark glaring patch. 50 packshot photos of each product code are taken against a white background, preserving the true colors of the gold, silver, and black plating so customers can choose their desired model from the images.

The 15 concept images take the product out of the packaging. There are images of gold rings placed on a black stone slab, layered chains, multicolored D-rings, and images of models holding chains or wearing fur coats with accessories. This helps customers visualize what the components will look like on a bag or an outfit.
Result
Golden received 95 photos and a 20-page e-catalogue with layouts based on those photos. The company profile and the new catalogue share a common image source, from factory overviews to individual product codes, resulting in a consistent look.

The 20-page e-catalogue was designed using the actual photo set.
