Phu My Branded Film NPK SOP Project
Vietnamese durian has officially been licensed for export to China and is expanding to South Korea and Australia. Therefore, the requirements for durian fruit are no longer limited to just "tasting": the fruit must meet stringent standards regarding safety and appearance. The Branded Film NPK SOP Phu My, produced by Right Media, covers everything from concept, script, casting, setting, to filming and editing. Instead of simply introducing the product, the film tells the story of systematic and planned agricultural practices.
This video is a brand film project for NPK SOP Phu My, produced by Right Media.
Customer requirements
Phu My Fertilizer has set four goals for the project:
- International standard transmission: Farmers need to be shown that for durian to be exported, the fruit must be "full-bodied, with yellow flesh, and not tough," and the levels of heavy metals like cadmium must be within permissible limits.
- Promoting the NPK SOP (White Potassium) product line: Clearly state the effects of NPK fertilizers containing white potassium when applied at the end of the fruiting season: yellow, intensely sweet flesh, even ripening.
- Changing farming mindsets: Shift from relying on experience to a planned approach, keeping a garden log (VietGAP) to ensure traceability.
- Modern imagery: The video should showcase a lush, fruit-laden durian orchard, while also highlighting the modern aspects of agricultural practices using advanced techniques.

Right Media's Branded Film Solution
The narrator is Mr. Phan Van Binh, who has been growing durian since 2011. He recounts that in the past, he only planted based on experience, "just happy when the trees bore fruit." Now, if he wants to sell to traders for export, he has to do it systematically, because "farming now requires planning."
Developing a "Planned Agriculture" scenario.
The story revolves around farming methods, not fertilizer sales. It traces the different stages of durian cultivation: early season focusing on healthy roots, light nurturing during flowering, proper fertilization during fruit development to maximize sweetness and flavor, and final stage supplementing potassium for even ripening and preventing hardening of the fruit.
Telling stories through pictures
- A close-up view of the fruit's quality: The close-up shots in Branded Film clearly show the large, plump segments of the fruit with its golden flesh—exactly the criteria for export that the film mentions.
- The actual context: The crew filmed live in the durian orchard. The video shows farmers keeping a logbook, meticulously noting "what, when, and how much," demonstrating a systematic approach.
Agricultural engineers stepped in to provide assurance.
Agricultural engineers chat with farmers right in their gardens. Through these conversations, concepts like "white potassium" or "traceability" become easier for farmers to understand.

The emergence of agricultural engineers has made the technical aspects more reliable.
Project implementation process
Right Media produced this Branded Film in three phases:
Pre-process: Export market research
The script adheres to the export standards for durian to China and South Korea. Concepts such as "growing area code" and "cadmium residue" are incorporated into the dialogue, so that farmers can immediately apply the knowledge after watching.
Production: Recording the season
- Aerial view: The aerial views of durian orchards in the highlands reveal the scale of the cultivation area.
- Light and color: In the video, the sunlight highlights the yellow color of the durian flesh and the green of the garden.
- Sound of the scene: The sound of tapping on durians and the laughter of farmers are preserved, evoking the atmosphere of the harvest season.
Post-production: Color grading and graphics
The film's colors are vibrant but still accurately reflect the true colors of the fruit and garden. The uses of NPK SOP are presented graphically for easy memorization.

A close-up of the durian fruit; the color remains exactly as it was in the orchard.
