Customer requirements

The Vietnam Roofing Association (VNRA) is an organization representing businesses operating in the roofing manufacturing and trading sector in Vietnam. The association plays a role in connecting businesses in the industry, promoting improved product quality, and guiding sustainable development that is suitable for the climate and domestic needs. In addition, VNRA participates in communication activities, sharing knowledge and spreading the value of safe and durable roofing materials to the community.

The TV commercial project for fiber cement corrugated sheets was undertaken to reach customers in rural areas.

In this TVC project for VNRA fiber cement roofing sheets, a collaboration with Right Media, the Vietnam Roofing Association needed a product introduction TVC to be broadcast on television channels, aiming to reach a wide target audience in rural areas. Therefore, the content needed to be relatable, easy to understand, and not too long due to the nature of television broadcasting. At the same time, the content needed to be accessible, visually appealing, and easy to understand, ensuring that everyone could easily grasp and feel the message of the TVC.

Right Media's solution

After understanding the requirements and product information, Right Media quickly developed a specific script and concept. For the VNRA fiber cement corrugated board TVC project, Right Media proposed the following solution:

  • Concept: Utilizing the image of the roof as a "witness to time," spanning the journey of a family through generations, the TVC positions fiber cement roofing not just as a building material, but as a sustainable foundation, silently accompanying and preserving family values over the years.
  • Script: Built upon the flow of a family's memories across generations, from grandfather to father to son, the story unfolds naturally through familiar pages of an album. Instead of directly presenting the product, the narrative is told through everyday, intimate images: from the humble, small house of the beginning to its more solid and spacious state over the years, reflecting the growth of generations. Regardless of the stage, the laughter of togetherness and the warmth of home remain ever-present.
  • Post-production: For this project, Right used CGI/3D Compositing techniques to create the house, landscape, and overall layout, aiming to recreate the past and present in a more cohesive way. Furthermore, the color and graphic elements were carefully considered to ensure the main product, the corrugated cement board, stands out.
  • Voice acting: Using a deep, warm, and pleasant male voice, along with a slow and emotional pace, helps convey the message naturally and easily resonate with the audience. The script content is simplified, concise, and easy to remember.

The main idea of the TV commercial is to tell the story of a family that has lived together under one roof for generations.

  • Step 5 – Post-production: The team handles video editing, color grading, sound processing, graphic design, and voiceover completion, ensuring that the visuals and sound are synchronized and polished.
  • Step 6: Review and revise: Send the demo file for customer feedback and further refinement based on their requirements.
  • Step 7: Completion & Handover: Export files and deliver them according to the agreed timeline. Right will provide all the video sources and finalize the footage for clients to use in multiple media campaigns.
