The cosmetics brand FOX (Fusion of Expressions) chose Right Media to produce a series of advertising videos for four product lines: Moonlight shower gel, lipstick collection, mascara and eyeliner lines, eyebrow pencils, and foundation. The series includes four horizontal videos and one vertical video for social media. This article analyzes how each product is presented with a distinct visual style while maintaining a unified brand identity.

Customer requirements

FOX needed videos for multiple product lines simultaneously, each video a short 21 to 39 seconds long for advertising. The products varied greatly in form: large bottles of shower gel with illustrated labels, small lipsticks, thin eyeliners, round powder compacts. Each required a different camera setup and lighting.

The key elements to retain are the brand identity: a glossy black case with a yellow FOX logo, and the spirit of "Fusion of Expressions".

Right Media's solution for cosmetic advertising videos.

The videos have no commentary, using only images and music. Right Media designed a unique setting for each product line.

1. Moonlight Shower Gel & Shampoo: Flowers and Dark Light

The red shampoo bottle and the blue body wash bottle sit amidst colorful bouquets against a black background, covered in tiny water droplets. The camera slowly pans across the bottle labels, which feature an illustration of a fox, then shifts to the two bottles standing side-by-side under a spotlight.

"Shampoo

The shampoo bottle is placed amidst flowers against a dark background.

2. Lipstick collection: black, red, and navy blue

A row of black-cased lipsticks is arranged neatly against a navy blue background with long shadows, a close-up of the gold logo, and then the red lipstick tips are revealed one by one. The lipstick is swatched on a flat surface, showing the texture and color payoff.

3. Mascara, eyeliner, eyebrow pencil: the lines

The video uses drawing as its main visual element: the word FOX is drawn with a black brushstroke, hands draw curved lines on white paper, and pens are lined up against a blue background, interspersed with white flower petals.

4. Liquid foundation: creamy texture

The round, black powder compact appears against a warm brown background, revealing the powder core and puff with the FOX logo. The scene of the foundation cream flowing over the pile of puffs depicts the product's smooth texture.

What video formats are needed for cosmetic advertisements?

A modern cosmetics advertising video project often requires both horizontal and vertical versions, as customers view the content on various platforms. With FOX, Right Media delivered:

 • Four horizontal videos – Each video is for one product line and is 21 to 37 seconds long.

 • A vertical video – 39 seconds, recreated from footage of the Moonlight River for social media.

 • Unified identification – with the same logo and signature “FOX – Fusion of Expressions” at the end of the video.
