Tri Viet Phat Foods commissioned Right Media to produce a corporate film about its spice industry, chronicling the founder's more than 20 years of dedication to spices and his desire to bring Vietnamese flavors to the world. The film explores the company's "Big Why": why Tri Viet Phat makes spices, and for whom.

Customer requirements

Tri Viet Phat wanted its corporate video for the spice industry to tell the story of its founder and, through that, reveal the "Big Why," the reason for the business's existence. For Tri Viet Phat, that reason is a passion for spices and a desire to help Vietnamese farmers live better lives.

The film should also showcase a supplier's capabilities: processes, certifications, and development direction. Partners, including multinational corporations, need this information before deciding to collaborate.

Right Media's solution for corporate films in the spice industry.

1. Start with a picture of the industry.

The film opens with a trend in the Southeast Asian spice industry: exporting to many places and bringing the country's cuisine to new lands. That is also the path Tri Viet Phat has chosen.

2. The founder tells his own story.

Ms. Van Anh directly shared her personal story and the process of establishing Tri Viet Phat Foods: understanding her talent from a young age, setting clear goals and pursuing them to the end, and over 20 years of entrepreneurship with spices. This interview segment held the viewers' attention the longest in the film.

She also explained that the company's name, Tri Viet Phat, stems from the desire for "Vietnam to develop alongside the world." Regarding personnel, she believes that young, dedicated, and capable individuals will be the company's successors in the future.

3. Filming at the source of raw materials.

Part of the film was shot in the raw material growing area in Lam Dong, so viewers can see how the product originates from the fields and gardens, from green and clean raw materials.

What should a corporate video for the spice industry showcase?

Beyond the main storyline, Tri Viet Phat Foods' film explores the key points customers and partners will check when evaluating a supplier:

  • Closed-loop process Each product undergoes rigorous testing before being released to the market.

  • Certification – FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, and other international food safety standards.

  • Orientation – producing unique spices from around the world and supplying Vietnamese spices to multinational corporations.

  • Human – A young team, given opportunities to learn from partner factories in Thailand, Singapore, and Japan.

In the garden footage, Ms. Van Anh shared that she remembers the colors and flavors of many fruits and spices, and recognizes each type along with its proportions in a mixture. Every month, Tri Viet Phat exports chili sauce to the US, using traditional Vietnamese chili peppers such as green chilies, Ba Tri chilies, and bird's eye chilies. She started growing the Mexican habanero variety two years ago and hopes to expand its cultivation to provide Vietnamese farmers with an additional source of income, in line with the company's "Big Why."
