Customer requirements

Phu My Fertilizer has set strategic goals for this project:

  • International standard transmission: How can we make farmers understand that for durian to be exported, the fruit must be "full-bodied, with yellow flesh, not tough," and especially, the levels of heavy metals (such as cadmium) must be within permissible limits?
  • Promoting the NPK SOP (White Potassium) product line: Customers should emphasize the role of NPK fertilizers containing white potassium during the fruit development stage – helping the flesh turn yellow, become intensely sweet, and ripen evenly.
  • Changing farming mindsets: Shift from relying on experience to a planned approach, keeping a garden log (VietGAP) for traceability.
  • Stylish and modern imagery: The video needs to showcase the abundance of the durian orchard while still reflecting the technological and professional spirit of modern agriculture.

 

The project is being implemented according to the agreed plan.

 

Right Media's solution

To solve this problem, Right Media chose Mr. Phan Van Binh – a durian farmer since 2011 with an extremely modern mindset – as the character to guide the story.

Developing a "Planned Agriculture" scenario.

We don't focus on selling fertilizers, but on farming solutions. The plan is divided into stages of durian tree development: from soil preparation and root care to the most crucial stage of "gathering salt and sugar" in preparation for export.

Visual Storytelling technique

  • A close-up view of the fruit's quality: Right Media uses close-up shots to capture each plump, golden-yellow durian segment, creating an appetizing feeling and demonstrating the product's quality.
  • The actual context: We filmed live in an export-standard durian orchard, capturing scenes of farmers keeping their orchard diaries, demonstrating transparency and systematic approach.

The presence of agricultural engineers in direct dialogues in the garden helps to make technical knowledge about "white potassium" or "traceability" more accessible and reliable.

Pre-process: Export market research

The scriptwriting team thoroughly researched the export standards for durian to China and South Korea to incorporate them into the dialogue. Understanding the "growing area code" and "cadmium residue" helped make the video highly educational for farmers.

Production: Capturing the Seasonal Moment

  • 4K Drone: Capturing the vast durian orchards amidst the highlands creates a sense of abundance and the scale of Vietnamese agricultural production.
  • Light and color: We chose to film on sunny days to highlight the distinctive yellow color of the durian flesh and the green of the orchards.
  • Sound of the scene: The sound of tapping durians and the laughter of farmers celebrating a bountiful harvest and good prices are subtly incorporated to create an atmosphere of excitement.

Post-production: Color grading and graphics

The film's colors are vibrant yet realistic. Information about the advantages of NPK SOP is displayed through modern graphics, making it easy for viewers to remember the product's uses.
